 I used the plugin poly cruncher.It really works.And It is very useful for me to reduce the number of polys and file size too
Could not run it. I did install a trial version some months ago, and now it just says that my evaluation is over. :(

 Polygon Cruncher I was very surpired how well polycrucher maitained overall form while reducing poly counts dramatically. Having tried lots of other methods this was by far the most successfull one I've tried.
Does its job well This nifty tool works as advertised, and it does the job much better than the native multires and optimize tools in 3DSMax. The resulting meshes are cleaner than native max tools produce, and the tool itself has more powerful options that allow the user to fine-tune the resulting mesh.
